Paul Thomas Legacy Programs
Paul was a cornerstone of RayCam Co-operative Centre for the last 21 years. From his work in the RayCam Immigrant Buddy Program many years ago to his key role as Youth Programmer at RayCam, Paul was a role model, mentor and a consummate caregiver for youth, families and his colleagues in the Downtown Eastside. He was always available, always put the needs of the community first and did whatever needed to be done no matter how big or how small.
Paul leaves a legacy of initiative such as: RayCam Rockets Bike Program, Wheels, Wings & Moving Things (RC Car Rally), Leadership Programs, Youth Incentive Program, Boys Club and especially his personal touch with all the programs he was in contact with.
With his tireless “chill, Jamaican” style Paul’s dedication and compassion encouraged hundreds of youth to purse their dreams and gave them the confidence to succeed. Paul nurtured and mentored these youth to become doctors, social workers, security guards, mechanics, youth leaders , and more. He encouraged them to give back to the community and become volunteers.
Paul was a true community member and leader. His legacy will continue to touch the lives of the many individuals and families impacted by his kindness and compassion.
Memorial Soccer Tournament

The tournament is truly a community event where teams are mixed and include all age groups and skill level on the same team. The tournament focuses on fair play, sportsmanship, team spirit and community – all values that were important to Paul.
