The first annual Paul Thomas Memorial Soccer tournament was a great success. It was a fantastic day with the sun shining and over 200 community members playing soccer or cheering the participants. It was definitely a family event which highlighted community support and community spirit.
Each team came up with a team name and wrote down the qualities that Paul had that were important for them and that we wanted them to role model throughout the day.
Paul’s family also selected the winner of another trophy which was handed out to an individual player showing the most sportsman like behavior.
The tournament winning team were the WolfPack!
All in all it was a very special day celebrating the life and spirit of a very special man.
